As women business owners, we are acutely aware of how important it is that there’s room for us “at the table”. But have we ever considered the bigger “why” of why it makes good business sense? Or why it’s so difficult to achieve? Perhaps it is because the real issue is diversity and inclusion. Getting people to the table is easy. It’s keeping people at the table where the real work begins. New NAWBO Community Service Opportunity and Prizes

NAWBO SF Bay Area is proud to announce a new monthly community-service prize drawing opportunity to benefit one organization annually. This year the board has chosen Girls, Inc.

Girls, Inc. of Alameda County is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. It is a local affiliate of the national Girls Inc. organization, which provides vital educational programs to millions of American girls, particularly those in high-risk, underserved areas.

Calling all donations: Make a donation. Win a great prize!
We invite NAWBO SF Bay Area members to donate a prize (minimum value of $25*) for members and guests to win at each monthly dinner event. Tickets are sold each month at $5 for one chance and $20 for five chances to win.

Tax deductible cash donations to benefit Girls, Inc. are also accepted through contributions to NAWBO-SF Entrepreneurs Economic Institute, which is our non-profit 501c(3) entity.

Benefits: This is one of the best ways to support a great cause, gain recognition for you and your business, and to support NAWBO in an economical and rewarding way. Other benefits include:

*Prizes may be anything you think another women business owner would enjoy, including bottles of wine, chocolates, food packages, and certificates to sample your services.

Donors are to bring items the night of the dinner and be on hand to draw their lucky winner.

Deadline: Submissions each month must be received no later than 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning (the day before our dinners) in order to be included in the Donor Sheet which will be distributed to each person attending that month's dinner.

P.S. We are looking for member volunteers to help Syndi each month coordinate the prizes and to help sell raffle tickets. Please let Syndi know if you are interested in helping. It's light duty that will be lots of fun to do!
